The incident happened on the fourth ball of the 13th over as Vijaykumar Vyshak bowled a good length ball to Rahul Tewatia as the batter played it with soft hands towards short cover. Shahrukh Khan, at the non-striker’s end, was off in a flash expecting a run but Tewatia denied any single. Shahrukh was slow to turn around while trying to get back inside his crease, and Kohli was quickly on to the loose ball. He picked up the ball and in one swift motion, threw the ball onto the stumps as the batter was way short of his crease

Earlier GT posted this season’s lowest powerplay score in the IPL. The vistors were pinned back to the wall by the bowlers of RCB from the get-go. GT scored just 23 in the powerplay and lost their top three batters. The batters were not given any loose deliveries to hammer and tonk and were treated to some hostile bowling.
David Miller along with Shahrukh Khan knitted a partnership of 61 in just 37 deliveries for the fourth wicket and brought some life into the Gujarat innings but just when it looked like Gujarat was back in it both David Miller and Shahrukh Khan departed in quick succession.
