Young Indian opener Abhishek Sharma’s outing in the 1st Bangladesh T20I was cut short by an unfortunate run-out in Gwalior. The left-hander had a terrific start to his innings as India chased a modest 128 against the Bangla Tigers. After going off the mark with a single, Abhishek smashed Taskin Ahmed for a six and a couple of boundaries—however, a miscommunication led to his dismissal at the non-striker’s end.
It was the final delivery of the second over when Sanju Samson hit the ball towards short mid-wicket. Sharma took off for a non-existent run but was eventually sent back by Samson. But it was too late by then as Towhid Hridoy picked up the ball and hit the bull’s eye to catch the southpaw well short.
