Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s warm interaction with a fan has taken the internet by storm. The star opening batter is also one of the most beloved figures in the cricket world. This was evident recently when one of Rohit’s fans chased after his car to get his autograph. The Indian captain’s car eventually pulled over on the roadside after which he greeted the supporter. A video of the brief interaction was shared on X (formerly Twitter).
“The fan ran behind Rohit’s car to meet him, seeing him Rohit stopped the car and took a photo with him. Captain always be there for fans,” read the post.

The fan chasing after Rohit Sharma’s car had his torso painted in the Indian tricolour theme. He had the cricketer’s first name and his jersey number (45) on his back. The fan was wearing a colourful wig, black trousers and a pair of white trainers. He could even be heard shouting, “Rohit sir!” as he ran behind the car. Rohit eventually asked his driver to stop before rolling down the window. The fan then passed a piece of paper into Rohit’s hand for an autograph.
Fans reacted to the touching gesture from Rohit Sharma in the comments section.

It’s good that I couldn’t become a cricketer. Only Rohit Bhai can handle such fans. — Anil kumar (@anildilli007) October 16, 2024
While Rohit Sharma continues to make headlines off the pitch, it has not been quite a memorable performance in the 1st Test against New Zealand. The opening fixture in Bengaluru saw India get dismissed for a total of 46 runs in the first innings. Rohit was dismissed for two runs.
