Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant were seen playing with a kite during the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday.
A kite found its way onto the pitch as Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant had a bit of a laugh before the umpire took it away. The fans surely enjoyed the little break in play.

Debutant Lizaad Williams had quite a few stoppages as MI stepped out to bat to chase DC’s record total of 257/4. Jake Fraser-McGurk smashed a 27-ball 84 that powered the home side to a massive total. While McGurk sparkled upfront, Tristan Stubbs dazzled with an unbeaten 48 off 25 balls at the death overs as DC put up a superlative batting effort to register their highest-ever score in IPL.

Sent into bat, young Jake Fraser-McGurk started smashing the ball around from the get-go and propelled DC to 92 for no loss in the powerplay.
Fraser-McGurk was dismissed by Piyush Chawla, caught in the deep while trying to clear the fence.
Shai Hope sustained the momentum given by Fraser-McGurk’s brutal onslaught and hammered 41 off just 17 balls with five sixes.
