With the captain set to play the Indian Premier League (IPL) fixture against Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday evening, he is likely to join the meeting virtually in the afternoon. Coach Rahul Dravid will also be present but it’s not sure whether he would be flying to Ahmedabad or joining the meeting online like the captain.

Agarkar met captain Rohit this weekend in Delhi and also watched Mumbai Indians’ afternoon fixture against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The former India cricketer saw the entire fixture from one of the commentary boxes at the venue.

Rohit flew with the rest of his Mumbai Indians teammates on Sunday afternoon and is currently in Lucknow for their fixture on Tuesday evening.

It is understood that selectors are likely to name some travelling reserves along with the squad of 15 for the T20 World Cup. May 1 is the International Cricket Council (ICC) deadline for all teams to name their respective squads. The teams can make changes to the initial squad till May 25.

It’s not sure whether the Indian cricket board will announce the squad tomorrow itself but there is a strong possibility of that happening. There are plans to have a press conference in Mumbai on May 2 but there has been no official communication yet.

Rohit will leave for Mumbai from Lucknow on May 1 in the afternoon or evening and there is a strong possibility of him addressing the media on May 2. Mumbai Indians have a home game vs Kolkata Knight Riders on May 3.
