Mumbai: After confirmation of the Greece bailout package, the market ended on strong note. The Sensex was up 299.79 points or 1 per cent at 27961.18 and the Nifty was up 99.10 points or 1.1 per cent at 8459.65.

Defensives like pharma, IT stocks rallied. GAIL, HDFC, Maruti, NTPC and Wipro were top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are ONGC, L&T and BHEL.
