HDFC Bank has announced that the private lender is scheduled to undergo a system upgrade. The upgrade aims to improve performance speed, increase capacity, and enhance the overall reliability of their systems. This will result in temporary limitations to some of their banking services.
HDFC Bank has asked customers to plan banking activities accordingly, as some services will be temporarily unavailable during this 13-and-a-half-hour period.
“We are conducting a system upgrade at HDFC Bank on Saturday, 13th July 2024, from 3:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This upgrade aims to enhance your banking experience by improving performance speed, expanding capacity for high traffic and boosting overall reliability,” the Bank stated on its official website.
“Some of our banking & payment services will be unavailable during the upgrade. Plan your transactions in advance,” the Bank said.

Time: 3:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Duration: 13 and a half hours)
Services Available:
- ATMs: Withdraw cash (with restricted limits)
- Payments: Use HDFC Bank cards in-store, online and via PayZapp (Debit cards with restricted limits)
- UPI: Continue to use the service except from 3:00 AM to 3:45 AM and from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2024
- Card Management: Hotlist cards, reset PIN and more
- Merchant Payments: Merchants can accept payments via –
- Credit Cards: Available with no impact
- UPI & Debit cards: Available with restrictions
