Godrej and Amp Boyce Manufacturing Company Ltd plan to open 50 'Lifespace' stores across India.

New Delhi:The Godrej group on Monday unveiled plans to open 50 more stores of its retail brand 'Lifespace' in association with Amp Boyce Manufacturing Company Ltd.

The new stores will come up across India and the company plans to reach a turnover Rs 450 crore in the next three years.

The company will invest Rs 100 crore to set up the new retail outlets, including some in tier-II and tier-III cities, Godrej Vice-President and Amp Boyce Manufacturing Company Ltd, retailling division, business head Shyam Motwani said.

Speaking after launching the 49th 'Lifespace' store, he said 15-20 new stores will be set up during the current financial year.

Lifespace was launched three years ago and has presence in 25 cities. Revenues, which were Rs 100 crore during 2006-07, will touch Rs 150 crore this fiscal. Motwani said they also plan to open Lifespace stores in West Asia, Sri Lanka and Nepal in the next two to three years.

Leading Telugu film actress Kamalini Mukherjee was present at the inauguration of the store in Hitec City, Madhapur. This is the third store here and also the largest revenue earner for the company. Motwanai said two more stores will come up here this year.

Godrej Lifesapce store offers a wide range of contemporary and stylish Godrej home and office furniture, home appliances, locks and security systems along with other home accessories and lifestyle oriented products.
