Tata Altroz Racer Likely to Get 7-speed Dual-clutch AT Option, Check Details
As per the details shared by Tata Motors Chief Commercial Officer, Vivek Srivatsa revealed that the carmaker might introduce an automatic gearbox in the future.

After successfully launching the much-awaited Altroz Racer in the Indian market with a 6-speed MT as standard, Tata might introduce the hatchback with a 7-speed DCT gearbox as well.

The company has not shared any official details regarding the same as yet. However, some reports say that it might drop some hints soon.

Hints from Top Official

As per the details shared by Teambhp, Tata Motors Chief Commercial Officer, Vivek Srivatsa revealed that the carmaker might introduce an automatic gearbox in the future. However, the implementation of the plan might take place after seeing the demand from customers.

In addition, he said that the brand wanted to introduce the Altroz Racer as soon as possible, and the 6-speed MT was the quick option as it needed cost and time.

Price Range

The Tata Altroz Racer arrived in the Indian market at the starting price of  Rs 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top model goes up to Rs 11 lakh (all ex-showroom). Interested customers can reserve the vehicle as the company has kickstarted the bookings for the same.

Cabin Highlights

The performance model of Altroz comes with some notable elements inside the cabin, making it superior in the segment. It gets a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, supported by all the wireless car connect technology. For the driver side, it gets 10.16 inch fully digital instrument console.

Engine and Power

The model is powered by a 1.2 liter turbocharged petrol engine, which produces a maximum output of 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. It is the same engine that has been used in all of Nexon. The unit is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission.
