Motoziel and Edelweiss Bike Travel, an Austrian motorcycle tourism company, have announced a new Joint Venture called ‘Motoziel Edelweiss Pvt. Ltd’. Headquartered in Gurgaon, the joint venture is incorporated to provide complete motorcycling experience among the motorcycle enthusiasts in India and abroad.
A rider can choose from an impressive fleet of bikes which currently include Harley-Davidson Iron 883, Ducati Scrambler, Triumph T100 and Royal Enfield models for trips within the country, whereas the international fleet consists the likes of BMW, Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki models. The company will be offering experiences including self-guided and guided tours in more than 10 countries in the sub-continent, in addition to offering rides across continents.
One of the good things that the company promises to do is to educate the keen rider about the kind of things they are supposed to know before letting them on to the bike saddle, which means informing them about things like rules and regulations that need to be followed in other countries.
The term Motoziel has been derived from the combination of the Italian word ‘Moto’ and German word ‘Ziel’, which mean Motorcycle and destination respectively. The Joint Venture consists of 74% stake by Motoziel and 26% stake owned by Edelweiss bike travel.
Although the company is still working on making this a grand-scale affair as their fleet can support rider groups of around 8-10 people as of now, although the company did add that other riders can feel free to join on their own rides and avail the services by Motoziel Edelweiss on the journey.
The motorcycle culture in India is witnessing a rise like never before as more and more riders are taking up touring trips and biker communities are on the rise, and the JV will be looking to bank on to this trend, and also help those riders who have always wanted to take a trip to scenic locations around the world but do not own a bike, expensive cruiser motorcycle.
