Hero MotoCorp To Unveil 440cc Motorcycle On January 22, Expected To Be Based On Harley X440

A new motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp has been hinted at; it may be a high-end large bike modelled after the Harley-Davidson X440.

An audio clip has been used by the domestic two-wheeler manufacturer to tease the big bike. There have been rumours of a large bike from India’s top two-wheeler brand developing due to the exhaust note’s deep bassiness, akin to the Harley-Davidson X440.

The company recently teased its upcoming release, a 440cc motorcycle set to go on sale on January 22. The teaser is distinguished not only by the manufacturer’s departure from its standard offerings but also by a distinct bassy exhaust note, which adds to the intrigue.

According to reports, Hero is introducing models with two distinct engines and architectures as part of its strategy to diversify its premium category lineup. This move is part of that strategy. It’s even possible that a completely new engine will make its premiere.

As per Hero MotoCorp, the upcoming big bike will usher in a new era. Hero MotoCorp has stated its goal to be a significant player in the premium segment even though it currently holds the largest share in the commuter motorcycle market due to its Splendour series.

Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson have teamed up in order to keep an eye on this goal. As part of their partnership, the two companies introduced the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle to the Indian market in 2023 for a combined price of Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The X440 is now the most reasonably priced Harley-Davidson in the company’s history. The roadster challenged rugged versions such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Along with the engine and transmission, the new Hero motorcycle is anticipated to share a number of other components with the Harley-Davidson X440. The 440 cc air and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that powers the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle can produce up to 27 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of maximum torque at 4,000 rpm.

Anticipate that the Hero motorcycle will be equipped with the same engine, meaning it will produce the same amount of torque and power as the X440. It is expected that the suspension and brake systems will be identical to those of the X440.
