BMW’s two-wheeler division BMW Motorrad launched two new motorcycles into the Indian market at the 2018 Auto Expo in the form of the BMW F 750 GS and the BMW F 850 GS, which have been priced at Rs 12.2 lakh and Rs 13.7 lakh (all prices ex-showroom) respectively.

Starting off with the styling, both these motorcycles get similar designs with the beak coming out at the front which gives them a typical BMW Motorrad GS family look. The wind deflector carries over the asymmetrical look, just like the headlamps at the front and both of these motorcycles are powered by an 853CC, IN-LINE 2-CYLINDER engine and come mated to a 6-speed transmission. These bikes also share the same 6.5-inch TFT instrument console and they also come with dual riding modes. But that’s where the similarities end. The F 750 Gs is capable of producing 77 hp and 83 nm of torque and comes with a 19-inch wheel at the front. The wheels on this are cast aluminium alloys and at the front, there’s telescopic suspension. The F 850 GS, on the other hand, gets upside down forks, a longer wheelbase, spoked wheels with the front one being 21 inches in size and a higher seat height as well. The 850 also produces more power and torque at 95 hp and 92 nm of torque output.

Are these two the right kind of offerings from the house of BMW in the middleweight adventure-touring segment in India? Watch our video below to find out.
