Singapore Airlines recently made headlines when severe turbulence left 1 dead and 60 passengers injured. Now, Qatar Airways has garnered attention following an incident involving turbulence that left 12 passengers injured while the plane was flying over Baghdad. The flight departed from Doha and managed to land safely at its destination, Dublin Airport as per schedule. Upon arrival, emergency services, including Airport Police and the Fire and Rescue department, swiftly aided the affected passengers.

However, among those sharing their experiences with RTE News at the airport, one man’s typical Irish way of describing the turbulence has captivated social media, leaving many in stitches. Speaking to the portal, the unnamed man explained, “You know, they have the seatbelt signs on. They were off. Next minute, one dinner came off my lap, just food all over the plane, on the ceiling, everywhere. This managed to happen.”

Displaying his ripped pants, he concluded with a firm “never again.” Since RTE shared the clip on Instagram, it has gone viral, amassing over 7 lakh views.

Reacting to his humorous take, a user wrote, “Those pants deffo need stitches….really if it was bad would the plane not have landed?”

Another suggested, “That’s why when seated, keep your seatbelt on always.”

“Seat belts on after everyone’s already dead,” a comment read.

An individual shared, “I salute all the officers and pilots of this aircraft because they landed safely. You are heroes.”

One more added, “This is a part of climate change and sudden changes in weather patterns and pressure systems. It is expected to happen more and more often.”

Dublin Airport reported that all passengers were checked for injuries before leaving the plane, however, eight people were taken to the hospital. Another passenger described the situation as “chaos” when the plane suddenly dropped, causing everything to fly up. She recalled that everyone was screaming and the cabin crew had just started serving food. The air hostesses hit the roof and It was frightening to see how quickly everything happened, including the heavy trolleys were going up and down. She claimed that many felt sick and were too scared to move.
