UK Property Listed For Sale Online Found To Be A Former Cannabis Farm
According to a report, police raided this house last year and found illegal drugs worth Rs 52 lakh.

A house in England was listed for sale, and the photographs that were posted online revealed that it had once been a cannabis farm, leading to shockwaves resonating over the internet. The house, located on Houghton Road in Hetton Le Hole, is listed for a low £30,000 (Rs 31.41 lakh) on Rightmove, but those who have seen the listing aren’t astonished by the price.

The listing is even strange when you look at the accompanying photos, which depict the house’s frontage which doesn’t seem to have a door and learn that it was formerly a cannabis farm. The listing features full-length photos of wiring, lofts that once held drug storage and pots that once contained cannabis plants.

The property entry, which is presently for sale, is quite transparent about its prior purpose, as evidenced by the listing’s initial web paragraphs. The property, which has two bedrooms and one bathroom and is located on a terraced street, will be put up for online auction on March 6 of this year.

According to estate agency Landwood Property Auctions, “a full scheme of refurbishment” is required for the abandoned house, which was reportedly formerly used as a cannabis farm. Partner Kate Lay expressed her hope that the local community will benefit from the sale of the property. “Auctioneers and estate agents regularly work with end-of-market properties, although it may come as a shock to the average homebuyer,” the spokesperson stated. “We collaborate closely with LPA Receivers to assist in recouping money from houses like this one to settle debts and offer a constructive outcome for the neighbourhood. “We are fully open and honest in all of our listings, descriptions, and images, so any prospective customer knows exactly what they are getting from us,” the spokesperson added.

According to a Daily Mail report, last year police raided this house and found illegal drugs worth Rs 52 lakh. The farm was demolished by the police. According to the report, last year, three men aged 32, 52 and 63 and a woman aged 58 were arrested in connection with manufacturing cannabis in the house.
