A Chicago restaurant has just set a new benchmark for luxury cocktails with what could be the priciest martini in the US. Adalina, an Italian hotspot, has teamed up with the high-end jewellery brand Marrow Fine to craft the jaw-dropping Marrow Martini. Priced at a staggering $13,000 (over Rs 10 lakh), this extravagant concoction is poised to make its mark in the record books. The exclusive martini is made by Colin Hofer, a general manager of Adalina restaurant and the Michelin Guide’s ‘Sommelier of the Year’ of 2022.
The overriding factor that makes this martini different from all the others is, of course, its extravagantly expensive price range as well as its equally out-of-the-ordinary serving.
As per a press release, the Marrow Martini is served with a 9-carat diamond tennis necklace from the Marrow Fine that contains 150 diamonds on a 14-carat gold setting.
As per Fox News Digital, the cocktail itself is an intense one with deep flavours. The drink’s ingredients include Clase Azul Mezcal, clarified heirloom tomato water, lemon basil olive oil and chilli liqueur. For dramatic flair, the whole drink is served in a glass cloche before the presentation to the customer along with the necklace of diamond.
“What makes the Marrow Martini truly unique is the seamless fusion of fine jewellery and luxury dining. It’s not just about the cocktail — it’s about creating an elevated experience,” said Hofer in an email to the news outlet.
The cooperation with Adalina and Marrow Fine is another step towards presenting the patrons with an extraordinary and opulent experience, Hofer continued.
The founder of Marrow Fine, Jillian Sassone, said that Adalina was the obvious choice for the collaboration because, in addition to its location, it has an incredible menu created by Soo Ahn, the Top Chef said in an interview with Fox News Digital.
“Each time I have visited Adalina, I’m blown away by every dish but also by the palpable energy and excitement in the restaurant,” she added.
Marrow Martini has been part of Adalina’s menu since September 9.
Although it may not be one of the most popular orders served by the restaurant, the cocktail has created a lot of buzz, especially among the elite customers who would like to dine in an equally unique restaurant.
