On Camera, Student Proposes To Female Teacher During Online Class. Internet Finds It 'Shameful'
The video capturing the student and teacher's interaction has gone viral, with many calling out the inappropriate act.

While it is common to see couples going above and beyond to profess their love through unique acts, a student left the internet fuming after proposing to his teacher during an online class. Going viral on social media, the video shows the student asking his teacher to marry him. She calmly rejects the proposal.

The student begins, asking if the teacher is married. She replies, “No.” He went on to say, “Then I love you, ma’am.” As the teacher maintained her composure and politely said, “For that purpose, I love you all.” Interrupting her midway, he continued, “Will you marry me?”

Shared on the Instagram handle of tv1India, the video received massive backlash online, with the comment section filled with reactions as people called out the clip as “shameful” and “improper.” A user wrote, “This is not funny at all shame on you,” while another commented, “And they are showing the teacher’s face and not the guys who are doing it!!”

“These kids think it’s cool,” a comment read, while another added, “Teacher shouldn’t entertain such questions at all irrespective of gender & these male students and their parents should be ashamed of themselves. Hope she files a defamation lawsuit against them.”

While a section of users demanded showing the face of the student, some lauded the teacher for dealing with the situation in a respectful manner. “She handles with respect,” one wrote.

Earlier this year, a clip went viral for similar reasons; however, with no student involved. In one of Adda247’s videos, a teacher named Navneet Tiwari ended up proposing to a fellow teacher and colleague Sona Sharma during the session.

“I hope for your support in not just my professional life but personal as well. Support me forever. I don’t know what’s wrong or right. I don’t even want to say something like ‘I like you’ or ‘I love you’. I just want to ask you Sona ma’am will you marry me?” he said, before actually receiving a “Yes.”

The video left internet users divided. While many called them out for choosing an inappropriate platform to pull off something like this, others found the gesture “sweet.”
