Flipkart Surprises Bengaluru Man With Gift After His 13-Minute Laptop Delivery Post Goes Viral

A post from a Bengaluru man about his remarkably quick laptop delivery has gone viral, resulting in an unexpected gift from the e-commerce platform Flipkart. Sunny R Gupta, a software developer, shared that after ordering a laptop through Flipkart Minutes, he received it within 13 minutes. The rapid delivery created buzz online leading Flipkart to send him a laptop bag as a gesture of appreciation for the attention his tweet received.

Sunny explained in a follow-up post on X that his experience was authentic and wasn’t part of “a marketing stunt or a planned promotion.”

“As some of you know, I run a small meetup group called “Impromptu BLR Meetups” here in Bengaluru. During one of our gatherings at Starbucks, I was browsing for a new Windows laptop on Amazon and Flipkart. I stumbled upon a model on Flipkart that fit my budget and requirements, and I noticed a new feature offering delivery within 15 minutes. Intrigued by this option, I decided to try it out, thinking it would be more convenient than waiting a day for a traditional delivery,” Sunny wrote on X.

He explained further that his decision to post about the laptop on X was driven by his genuine surprise at how quickly it was delivered.

“To my surprise, the laptop arrived in just 13 minutes, and I posted about it in real-time. The posts went viral overnight, garnering millions of views and attracting attention from various media outlets. I want to emphasise that I had no incentive to create a viral moment or engage in any marketing ploy. The posts were purely my personal experience, shared out of genuine surprise and excitement,” Sunny added.

While he admitted to enjoying the attention the posts received, Sunny also mentioned that Flipkart’s marketing team reached out afterwards and offered him a laptop bag. “Once the post became popular, Flipkart’s marketing team did offer me a Laptop Bag for all the buzz this ended up creating. Thank you for your understanding and support,” he concluded.
