Are Alexander McQueen’s Hoof Boots For Rs 2.5 Lakh A Fashion Fail? Internet Reacts
Reacting to the pair of boots, a social media user said, "I hate it so much that I love it.”

Fashion brand Alexander McQueen is generating buzz with its latest launch: the Hoof Boots, priced at $2990 (approximately Rs 2.5 lakh). These distinctive boots embrace the Horse Girl trend, featuring a horseshoe detail on the sole, a back zip and silver buckles with nail studs. Crafted from Margarita brown calf hair, the boots are drawing attention for their bold design. This is the same brand known for the Armadillo Shoes, famously worn by Lady Gaga. The Hoof Boots have sparked a range of reactions on social media, with some critics calling the design “cheap” and others expressing concerns that the brand’s quality may be declining.

Meanwhile, fashion enthusiasts familiar with the brand, know that McQueen always pushes fashion boundaries with their bold and unconventional creations. Meanwhile, the Made in Italy boots are from the Autumn Winter 2024 collection, created by Sean McGirr. As per Rain Magazine, McGirr described the collection as a tribute to London’s vibrant and energetic spirit.

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “I want hoof boots but these look cheap.”

Another shared, “It’s giving NARNIA.”

“This really showcases how far the McQueen brand has dropped in quality and vision,” a comment read.

Another wrote, “I see the vision, not my favourite execution in my humble opinion. But still an amazing work.”

An individual shared, “I actually love this, it has a concept and it gets it perfectly right.”

One more added, “I hate it so much that I love it.”

Louis Vuitton earlier faced scrutiny after launching a new pair of boots designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere. The boots quickly drew attention as their design was compared with an Ostrich due to their unusual look. The product featured black and brown shades with laces covering the bottom. While LV is known for setting fashion trends, these boots sparked debate. Some social media users questioned whether the design was groundbreaking or it was just unappealing.

This isn’t the first time Louis Vuitton has stirred controversy, Nicolas Ghesquiere previously created a product that looked like a sandwich bag. Not just this, the luxury brand has also introduced microscopic bags, latex balloon pants and croissant- shaped bags.
