Punjab Kings pacer Kagiso Rabada has already impressed everyone by picking four wickets in three matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. Thanks to lethal pace and accurate line and length, the South African has established himself as one of the finest fast bowlers of the current generation. Now, Rabada has taken the Internet by storm, this time, for his singing skills. In a video shared by the Punjab-based franchise, Rabada can be heard singing the popular Punjabi track Excuses, by pop sensation AP Dhillon. The clip was recorded during a practice session at the Punjab-based franchise’s home ground– Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. The players were taking a drinks break when Rahul Chahar asked Rabada to sing.
Kagiso Rabada nailed the challenge like a total pro. Rahul Chahar and other members of the Punjab Kings could not stop laughing after witnessing Rabada’s performance.
Sharing the video on Instagram, Punjab Kings wrote, “Any Excuses to watch this video on loop?”

Die-hard cricket fans admitted that the South African had already learnt the Punjabi language quite well.
A user suggested a Punjabi name for him– “Kagiso Singh Rabada.”
Coming back to on-field developments, Punjab Kings have entered this season’s IPL to secure their maiden title. They are one of the very few teams who are yet to engrave their name on the prized trophy. Punjab Kings have played three matches so far this season. The Shikhar Dhawan-led side began their IPL 2024 journey with a comprehensive four-wicket win over Delhi Capitals. They, however, failed to continue the momentum in the following matches. Punjab Kings endured a four-wicket defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bengaluru before losing their third game to Lucknow Super Giants by 21 runs.
With two points from three matches, Punjab Kings are currently placed in eighth position in the IPL 2024 standings. They will square off against Gujarat Titans in their next game in Ahmedabad on April 4.
