‘Angels Watching’: Internet Sees Divine Signs In Twisted Flag Before Trump Shooting

Within six minutes of taking the stage behind a podium at an outdoor event in Pennsylvania, former US President Donald Trump was discussing immigration in the sweltering heat. All of a sudden eight gunshots were heard, and Trump was spotted bleeding through his right ear. The event has thrown the United States election into disarray, adding to an already unpredictable race. Will Americans now view Trump with far greater sympathy? A user on X pointed out something from the rally that could suggest so.

The user posted a video showing the US flag fluttering in the air and becoming twisted. The now-tangled flag resembled a flying bird. The overlaying text on the video read, “The flag got tangled today at the Trump rally, before Trump came on stage. Looks like an angel.” The caption accompanying the post read, “What do you notice about the flag at the Trump rally before he came on stage yesterday?”

One person said, “Looks like an eagle flying.”

Eagles have symbolised a variety of thoughts and ideas throughout history and civilisations, such as bravery, strength, freedom and immortality.

Meanwhile, another user commented, “wow.. Angels watching over #Trump (sic).”

“There so many coincidences or prophecies, this is one of the most beautiful flag formations I’ve ever seen,” read another comment.

Yet another user mentioned, “Looks like an Angel to some and an Eagle to others, it’s beautiful!”

However, a user said, “Looks like Jesus on the cross.”

Most people associated the twisted flag with angelic intervention, with some even saying that Trump qualified as one.

The Secret Service fatally shot the gunman. The FBI has identified the shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Pennsylvania. Despite not having determined the purpose of the attempted assassination, the FBI has taken on the role of the principal federal law enforcement organisation in the investigation.

Three other bystanders were also shot — two of them suffered serious injuries and one spectator lost his life, as per a report by The Washington Post. According to authorities, the report said, the conditions of the other two critically injured individuals were stable as of Sunday afternoon.

An individual involved with the inquiry, who spoke on condition of anonymity to the news outlet, stated that authorities are looking into explosive material that was discovered at the gunman’s house and in his car.
