Google Pixel 9 Pro Leaks Officially, Pixel 9 Pro Fold Is Also Coming To India This Year
Google Pixel 9 series is launching next month and the company has now confirmed the lineup with the Pixel Fold is coming to India as well.

Google has taken over the role of the leaksters once again by officially confirming the launch of the Pixel 9 series at the August 13 event. The company has also said that the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be coming to the Indian market next month.

That’s right, this will be the first foldable from the Pixel stable to come to our shores, and it was surprising to hear Google make that announcement out of the blue. The Pixel 9 Pro India launch is on August 14, one day after the Made by Google event in California next month.

Pixel 9 Pro Design Teaser, Pixel 9 Pro Fold India Launch – What We Know

Google Pixel 9 series made its unofficial public bow with a full-fledged leak earlier this week. Google has quashed away those reports by going official with its own teaser on Friday, which shows us the new Gemini-powered Pixel 9 lineup and yes, the first Pixel 9 series Fold in the market. The leaks do confirm the new camera module at the back of the Pixel 9 Pro model, while the 9 Pro Fold carries a gigantic camera setup that is likely to feature three camera sensors.

The first-gen Pixel Fold didn’t come to India and going by the reviews of the device and its price tag, many felt that was the right call. But Google sees India as a big part of its Pixel growth story, not only with the Pixel a series models. So, bringing the Pixel 9 Pro Fold to the country feels like an affirmation to those claims.

We’ll get a closer look at the new Pixels when they roll out next month. Google has preponed its Pixel launch event this year, bringing it before the iPhone 16 series is announced. The new Pixels will also carry the next-gen AI features from Gemini that Google would like to tout before the Apple Intelligence mania kicks soon.

All said and done, we’re just hoping that Google plays the right price card for the Indian market which has been a big complaint from many over the years and delivers better service support for its devices.
