Apple Likely To Introduce iPhone 16 In Two New Colours This Year: Know More

The launch of the iPhone 16 series is months away, but the rumour mill is already buzzing with speculation about its features, design and now colour options. The 2024 iPhone lineup is expected to include four variants: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Ming-Chi Kuo, analyst, believes that the Cupertino-based company may introduce two new colours to the iPhone 16, replacing existing ones. He shared the information on X stating that the Pro variants— iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max – could be available in black, white, silver, and grey. The two new colours likely to be introduced are “natural titanium and a new rose colour.”

The existing iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are available in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Blue Titanium and Natural Titanium finishes.

Kuo expects Apple to have black, white, green, pink and blue colour ways for the base iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models. This implies that the iPhone 15’s yellow colour is likely to be replaced with a white colour.

Apple is known to utilise different names for hues even when the tones do not vary. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are available in black, blue, green, pink and yellow colour options.

Although a purple iPhone 16 model has also been leaked in the past, Apple expert Kuo did not bring out the colour purple in his post. A lot of excitement has been generated online about the iPhone 16 series in advance of its anticipated September release.

Based on TSMC’s 3nm technology, the vanilla models are expected to be powered by an A18 Bionic chip, while the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max may have an A18 Pro chip.

Previously, Apple analyst Kuo stated that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a new battery with higher energy density, potentially increasing battery life if Apple keeps the same battery capacity. According to Kuo, the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s battery will be significantly redesigned, with a transition from aluminium to stainless steel.

Furthermore, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to have a larger 6.9-inch display. The vanilla iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to keep their predecessors’ 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens. They could also get new capacitive buttons installed.
