Apple Issues BIG iOS 17.2.1 Update For iPhone Users: Why You Should Get It Now
After launching iOS 17.2 for iPhone users, Apple has now released a quick follow-up update that squashes bugs, and improves system stability.

After releasing iOS 17.2 to the public earlier this month, which brought features like the Journal app and the ability to shoot Spatial Videos, the iPhone maker has now released a minor update in the form of iOS 17.2.1.

In the update log, Apple says that this update “provides important bug fixes and is recommended for all users.” Therefore, this means that this update doesn’t focus on adding features but contains important bug fixes.

As expected, this update is applicable to all iPhones that support iOS 17, which includes all models from iPhone XS and later.

How to Install on Your Supported iPhone?

Firstly, you need to have a supported iPhone. If you already have iOS 17, that means you can get this one as well. Next, head to Settings > General > Software Update. Here, tap on Download and Install. But before you begin, ensure you have a solid connection, and your battery is above 50-60% so that your update process goes smoothly.

iOS 17.2.1: What’s New?

While this update doesn’t bring any notable features, it should be installed nonetheless, considering it brings bug fixes that may or may not be troubling you. Moreover, this could also make your iOS experience more stable.

That said, iOS 17.2 already introduced many features that were initially promised with the iOS 17 update, including the Journal app designed to make it easy to document your daily life on the go. While it isn’t revolutionary, what it does better than most journaling apps is that it directly shows ‘Moments’ from your iPhone data, which includes photos, locations, and even workouts. This makes it easy to add these events to your journal.

Apart from this, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max now even let you shoot Spatial Video, which is essentially a 3D video that you record from the wide and ultra-wide lens on your iPhone simultaneously, to be played in the Apple Vision Pro headset launching next year.
