Siddaramaiah to Donate Silver Gift Items to Build 400 Kg Chariot at Shiva Temple
The CM after holding a meeting with the temple development board announced that he will to donate all silver gifts he got from various organisations and individuals during his tenure as CM to make a silver chariot for the temple.

Bengaluru: Days after BJP chief Amit Shah called him and his government "anti - Hindu", Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has decided to donate all silver items he received as a gift in the last five years to the ancient Male Mahadeshwara temple near his native place in Mysore district.

The CM after holding a meeting with the temple development board announced that he will donate all silver gifts he got from various organisations and individuals during his tenure as CM to make a silver chariot for the temple.

During the meeting, the temple board’s officials told him that they needed 400 kg silver for the chariot. Instead of spending government money, the chief minister decided to use the gifts he received during his tenure.

Male Mahadeshwara temple at MM Hills in Chamarajanagara district is a major religious centre in south Karnataka.

The Congress social media team and his followers have taken to Twitter and Facebook to hit back at the main opposition BJP highlighting his decision calling the saffron party a 'fake Hindu party'.

The Congress-ruled Karnataka is going to Assembly polls in April or early May. The Hindutva debate has already hijacked many real issues and the BJP has fielded UP CM Yogi Adityanath to attack Congress on Hindutva.

Taking him head on, Siddaramaiah declared that he is a “true Hindu” who follows the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and Yogi is a “fake Hindu” who follows Nathuram Godse's hate ideology.
