136. Seoni-Malwa is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Hoshangabad Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Seoni-Malwa falls in Hoshangabad district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,22,992 voters in the seat, which includes 1,17,187 male voters, and 1,05,799 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Seoni-Malwa recorded a voter turnout of 84.26%. In 2013 the turnout was 81.24%, and in 2008 it was 75.05%.
In 2013, Sartaj Singh of BJP won the seat by a margin of 12,547 votes (7.61%). Sartaj Singh secured 47.54% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 7,845 votes (6.48%), registering 44.7% of the total votes polled.
