Jaipur: The Congress may have won in Rajasthan state assembly but its problems are far from over. Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot who was the party's star campaigner is not the only claimant for the chief minister's job.
Two Jat leaders, Union Cabinet minister, Sis Ram Ola and Barmer-based leader Sona Ram have also thrown their hats in the ring.
"It is not necessary that only elected representative can compete for the post of chief minister,"says Rajasthan state pradesh congress committee president C P Joshi.
So, even if state Congress president, C.P. Joshi has lost the election and is out of the race, Gehlot still needs the backing of 10 Janpath. The Jats have an 11 per cent presence in the state and they have voted heavily for the Congress in this election.
