In a gesture of gratitude, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi gifted salon equipment to Mithun Kumar, a barber from his parliamentary constituency Raebareli, who had once trimmed his beard during the Lok Sabha election campaign.

The equipment sent by the Congress MP included two barber chairs, a shampoo chair and an inverter battery.

Mithun expressed his joy upon receiving the salon equipment sent by Rahul Gandhi. He said he had not expected any such gift from the Congress leader.

Mithun shared that since Rahul Gandhi’s visit to his shop, his business has grown significantly. A customer at the salon mentioned that Rahul Gandhi had also supported a cobbler in Sultanpur by gifting him a modern shoe stitching machine. “We are proud that Rahul Gandhi is our MP,” he said.

Earlier on May 13, during the Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi was returning after addressing a rally at Baiswara Inter College in Lalganj, Raebareli. On his way back, his convoy made an unexpected stop in front of New Mumba Devi Hair Cutting Salon in Brajendra Nagar.

Rahul Gandhi stepped out to get his beard trimmed. He also asked the salon owner Mithun Kumar for ideas on improving his business and addressing youth unemployment.

It should be noted that Rahul Gandhi, while in Sultanpur for a defamation case, had visited a cobbler’s shop. He also picked up some tips about shoe stitching from him. Subsequently, he sent the cobbler a modern shoe stitching machine.
