New Delhi: 3:00 pm: In an impressive show, BJD is surging ahead in 20 of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha, while BJP is leading in one seat, according to trends available till 3:00 pm.
Veteran Congress leader and former chief minister Giridhar Gamang is trailing behind BJD candidate and sitting MLA Jhina Hikaka in Koraput (ST) constituency by 1,761 votes.
In Nabarangpur, Congress nominee Pradeep Kumar Majhi, is trailing behind Balabhadra Majhi of BJD by 271 votes. Union Minister Srikant Jena of Congress is trailing in Balasore. He is in the third position with Rabindra Kumar Jena of BJD leading over his nearest BJP rival Pratap Chandra Sarangi by 17,105 votes.
In Sundargarh, Jual Oram is trailing behind BJD candidate and former hockey captain Dilip Kumar Tirkey who is leading by 2155 votes. Congress veteran and former chief minister Hemanand Biswal is now in third place.
BJP's Pradipta Kumar Naik is now trailing behind his BJD rival Arka Keshari Deo by 2164 votes. BJP candidate Subhas Chouhan is leading in Bargarh over his nearest BJD rival PK Singh by 4,074 votes. In Puri, BJD's Pinaki Mishra is leading by 41,332 votes over his nearest Congress nominee Sucharita Mohanty.
BJD's Ladu Kishore Swain is leading over his nearest Congress rival Sriloknath Rath by 1,20,635 votes in Aska.
In Berhampur, sitting BJD MP Sidhant Mohapatra is leading over his nearest Congress rival Chandrasekhar Sahu by 38,312 votes.
In Bhubaneswar, sitting BJD MP Prasanna Kuamar Patsani is ahead of BJP's Prithviraj Harichandan by 46,732 votes, while BJD MP Kalikesh Narayan Singhdeo is leading over BJP's Sangeeta Singhdeo in Balangir by 23,465 votes.
BJD sitting MP Tathagat Satpathy is leading over BJP's Rudra Narayan Pani by 38,823 votes in Dhenkanal and Bhartruhari Mahtab is leading by 61,570 votes over Aparajita Mohanty of Congress in Cuttack.
In Kandhamal, Hemendra Chandra Singh of BJD is ahead of Harihar Karan of Congress by 78,273 votes, while his party colleague Sakuntala Laguri is ahead of Ananta Nayak of BJP in Keonjhar by 37,527 votes.
Ramachandra Hansda of BJD is leading over Nepole Raghu Murmu of BJP by 37,130 votes in Mayurbhanj, while Nagendra Pradhan of BJD is ahead of BJP's Suresh Pujari in Sambalpur by 11,909 votes.
In Bhadrak, BJD leader and former Union minister Arjun Charan Sethi is ahead of Congress' Sangram Keshari Jena by 36,852 votes, while in Jagatsinghpur BJD's Kulamani Samal is leading over Congress nominee Bibhu Prasad Tarai by 49,204 votes and in Jajpur BJD's Rita Tarai is ahead over BJP nominee Amiyakanta Mallick by 36,310 votes.
In Kendrapara constituency, BJD's Baijayant Panda is ahead of his Congress rival Dharanidhar Nayak by 24,988 votes.
2:15 pm: BJD is leading in 15 seats.
1:00 pm: BJD ahead in 14 Lok Sabha seats. BJP is leading in four seats while Congress is ahead in three.
11:30 am: BJD in Odisha established leads in 13 seats, BJP in three while Congress was leading in two seats trends of which were available.

In Nabarangpur, Congress' Pradeep Kumar Majhi was leading over Balabhadra Majhi of BJD by 3883 votes. Union Minister Srikant Jena is trailing in Balasore. He is in the third position in the seat where Rabindra Kumar Jena of BJD is leading over his nearest BJP rival Pratap Chandra Sarangi by 1341 votes, the trends showed.
Jual Oraon established a lead of 160 votes over his nearest BJD rival Dilip Kumar Tirkey from Sundargarh seat. Former chief minister Hemanand Biswal who had established an early lead slipped into the third position.
BJP is also leading in Kalahandi where its candidate Pradipta Kumar Naik by 501 votes against his BJD rival Arka Keshari Deo. The party's candidate is also leading in Bargarh where its candidate Subash Chouhan is leading over his nearest BJD's P K Singh by 1089 votes.
In Puri, BJD's Pinaki Mishra is leading by 4003 votes over his nearest Congress nominee Sucharita Mohanty. BJD's Ladu Kishore Swain was leading over his nearest Congress rival Sriloknath Rath by 14285 votes in Aska.

In Bhubaneswar, sitting BJD MP Prasanna Kuamar Patsani was ahead of BJP's Prithviraj Harichandan by 5110 votes, while BJD MP Kalikesh Narayan Singhdeo was leading over BJP's Sangeeta Singhdeo in Balangir by 1295 votes.

In Mayurbhanj, Ramachandra Hansda of BJD was leading over Nepole Raghu Murmu of BJP by 6572 votes, while Nagendra Pradhan of BJD was ahead of BJP's Suresh Pujari in Sambalpur by 3623 votes.
11:02 am: BJP's Sangeeta Kumari Singhdeo is leading over her nearest BJD rival Kalikesh Narayan Singhdeo in the Balangir parliamentary constituency, election office sources said.
Sitting BJD MP Tathagat Satpathy is leading over his nearest BJP nominee Rudra Narayan Pani in Dhenkanal constituency. In Bargarh Lok Sabha constituency, sitting Congress MP Sanjay Bhoi is leading over his nearest BJD nominee Prabhas Kumar Singh.
In the Bhubaneswar parliamentary segment, sitting BJD MP Prasanna Patsani is leading over Bijay Mohanty of Congress, sources said.
Veteran Congress leader and former Odisha chief minister Giridhar Gamang was leading over his nearest BJD candidate Jhina Hikaka by 989 votes in Koraput Lok Sabha constituency, official sources said.
In Mayurbhanj, BJD candidate Ramachandra Hansda was leading over his nearest BJP nominee Neople Raghu Murmu, they said.
10:00 am: BJD ahead in eight Lok Sabha seats, Congress in five and BJP in three.
9:29 am: BJD is leading in 26 out of 35 Assembly seats.
8:10 am: The BJD and the Congress are leading in one seat each.
The fate of as many as 1,616 candidates contesting in the twin elections for Odisha Assembly and Lok Sabha, will be decided on Friday.
The counting of votes would be held for 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly seats, which went to the polls in Odisha in two phases on April 10 and 17.
The ruling BJD is likely to retain its number one position in the state once again. Interestingly, it is expected the BJP will push the Congress to third place in Odisha.
BJD has exuded confidence that it will secure more than 100 seats in the 147-member Odisha Assembly and more than 15 seats of the total 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
