New Delhi: Amidst the war of words escalating between the Janata Dal United and National Democratic Alliance on the DNA remark, the former has now come up with an innovative idea to hit back. The JDU has already made it clear that it will use the DNA barb as one of the poll planks for the Bihar Assembly elections.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led JDU has now come up with two jingles highlighting some of the renowned people of the world who hailed from Bihar and hit back at Modi by calling him 'jumla babu'.
"Issi Bihar ka DNA lekar Chanakya ne puri duniya ko arthshastra diya. Issi Bihar ka DNA lekar Jai Prakash Narayan lok nayak bane. Issi Bihar ka DNA lekar Bikhari Thakur ne Bidesiya ki rachna kar di. Bihar ke DNA ki kimat tum kya jano jumla babu. Aur iss baar Bihar ke DNA ne mann bana liya hai jhaase mei na aaenge, Nitish ko jitaenge," said one jingle.
Another jingle narrated, "Issi Bihar ka DNA lekar Aryabhatta ne duniya ko gannit ke sidhnath diye. Issi Bihar ka DNA lekar Babu Rajendra Prasad swatantyra Bharat ke pehle rashtrapati ban gaye. Issi Bihar ka DNA lekar Ramdhari Singh Dinkar rashtra kavi ban gaye. Bihar ke DNA ki kimat tum kya jano jumla babu. Aur iss baar Bihar ke DNA ne mann bana liya hai jhaase mei na aaenge, Nitish ko jitaenge."
The jingles came ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's second rally in Bihar ahead of Assembly elections. On July 25, while addressing the first election rally, Modi while targeting Nitish Kumar had said, "There seems to be some problem in his DNA because the DNA of democracy is not like that. In democracy you respect even your political rivals."
Nitish even wrote an open letter to Modi saying it was deemed as "an insult by a large section of the people of the state and beyond" and asked him to withdraw it.
"Your words have been taken as an insult by a large section of the people of the state and beyond. Most of us also feel that coming from you, the comment is rather unbecoming of the office you hold," he had said.
