Patna: Former Bihar chief minister Ram Sundar Das, the JD(U) nominee from the prestigious Hajipur parliamentary constituency, owns only an old Ambassador car and some land at his ancestral village at Kharika, official sources said in Patna on April 4.
"I am in possession of an old ambassador car and two kathas of land on which my ancestral house exists at Kharika village in Vaishali district," Das said in his affidavit filed before election duty officials.
He also said that he owed a huge sum of money to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) as unpaid phone bills.
"I have filed a petition against the BSNL in the consumer court as it submitted a false bill amounting to Rs 11 lakh," Das said
Das said that his wife Sabita Devi has a house in her name valued at Rs 20 lakh at Lohianagar in the state capital.
