Lok Sabha Election 2024 Latest Updates: The poll campaign for the second phase ended on Wednesday, with top leaders of the BJP-led NDA and the opposition INDIA bloc making a last-gasp effort to woo voters

Lok Sabha Election 2024: Amid suspense around Congress’s candidate for Amethi, which has been a stronghold of the Congress party, former MLC Deepak Singh said that everyone has faith that Rahul Gandhi will come here at a ‘shubh muhurat’ to file his nomination for the Lok Sabha Election.

“All of us believe that Rahul Gandhi will come at a ‘shubh muhurat’, he will come when the time is right and not only win in Amethi but become the Prime Minister of India,” said Singh.

Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, on the other hand, wrote a letter to PM Modi over the party’s ‘Nyay Patra’ on Thursday and sought time from him to explain the manifesto in person. He told the Prime Minister that “you’re misinformed by your advisors over the things that are not even written” in the manifesto.

Amid this, while speaking at a public rally in Shahjahanpur, the PM said that “Congress’ true intentions and hidden agenda came forward in their manifesto”.

The poll campaign for the second phase ended on Wednesday, with top leaders of the BJP-led NDA and the opposition INDIA bloc making a last-gasp effort to woo voters.

The second phase of polling is scheduled for April 26. The end of the campaigning marks the commencement of a 48-hour silence period before polling. In the second phase of polls for the 18th Lok Sabha elections, 88 seats across 13 states and Union Territories is underway.
