New Delhi: A special court in Delhi is slated to hear the bail plea of DMK MP Kanimozhi on Saturday.
The DMK leader has been in Tihar jail since May 20 for being an alleged beneficiary in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.
Kanimozhi had on September 16 applied for the bail at a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Patiala House along with Kalaignar TV managing director Sharad Kumar.
Kanimozhi, the daughter of former Tamil Nadu chief minister Karunanidhi, applied for bail on the grounds that charges were not yet framed and they should be granted bail as per the Supreme Court order.
Kanimozhi and Kumar, named as accused in the second chargesheet for allegedly taking bribe of Rs 200 crore, were arrested on May 20 after the special court dismissed their bail pleas in the case.
