58. Chaksu is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Dausa (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Chaksu falls in Jaipur district and Central region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,03,776 voters in the seat, which includes 1,06,811 male voters, and 96,965 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Chaksu recorded a voter turnout of 77.16%. In 2013 the turnout was 75.45%, and in 2008 it was 65.9%.
In 2013, Laxminarain Bairwa of BJP won the seat by a margin of 12,358 votes (9.03%). Laxminarain Bairwa secured 39.44% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 4,238 votes (3.87%), registering 34.27% of the total votes polled.
