New Delhi: In a bid to reach out to Jammu and Kashmir, a huge central assistance development package for the state is underway, said sources in Prime Minister's Office.
The sources said the state will get institutes like Indian Institute of Technology, Indian institute of Management and All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
The sources further said that funds will be used for roadways, education, health, power, renewable energy, smart cities, urban renewal and tourism projects.
They added that the nature of the package will become clear after Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns from his six-nation trip.
The date of announcement is not fixed yet.
