New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday issued a notice to Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav over his alleged involvement in the Vyapam scam. The Governor is named in an FIR and is accused of recommending names of five candidates to be appointed as forest guards.

The court also issued notice to the Centre on a petition demanding removal of the MP Governor. Both the parties have been given a time period of four weeks to respond to the notice.

Congress leader and noted lawyer Kapil sibal was arguing for the petitioner seeking removal of Ram Naresh Yadav. "MP High Court was not right in quashing FIR against Governor as Vyapam CEO had recorded statement against Governor for his role," Sibal told the Supreme Court.
