Khushi Kapoor REVEALS She Is Desensitsed To Social Media, Says 'I Was Exposed To A Lot Of...'
Khushi Kapoor is looking forward to her debut film The Archies with Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda and others.

Khushi Kapoor is all set to make her acting debut with the upcoming film The Archies, which will be released on December 7 on the digital platform. However, ahead of its release, the budding actress can be seen marking her appearance everywhere. The upcoming actress recently got candid about dealing with the demerits of social media and being exposed to it at such a young age.

Speaking with NDTV, Khushi said, “Unfortunately, I think I was exposed to a lot of it (Social media) from a very young age, so I’ve been kind of desensitised to a lot of it. You learn to differentiate when you read something, whether it stems from someone else’s insecurity. Now, I’ve learned not to take it so much to heart. I don’t really go through everything and overthink it as much as I used to before. Seeing it a lot from a young age has helped me differentiate it now. I value other people’s opinions more who mean more to me, as I know it’s coming from a better place.”

She also revealed what her character in Archies taught her, “I think to be kinder to myself. She’s a very sweet and sensitive girl, and I think she taught me to be nicer to myself as well. I tend to take a lot of pressure and put a lot of weight on everything upon myself. Throughout the shoot, she kind of taught me to lessen the burden on myself and to be nicer to myself.”

The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar, is an Indian live-action musical movie based on the popular American comics of the same name. It also marks the acting debut of late star Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor (Betty), and megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda (Archie).

The Archies is set in desi Riverdale in which Suhana plays the role of Veronica Lodge, a teenager who has just moved back from the UK and is ready to dive into the 2.0 version of her teenage life. She is best friends with Betty Cooper, played by Khushi, and Archie Andrews, essayed by Agastya. While everything in their lives seem to be going well, Veronica’s father decides to bring in malls and development to Riverdale. As a result, several iconic places begin to shut down, including Betty’s father’s bookstore and the massive green landscape comes under danger. The redevelopment plans take a toll on Veronica’s friendships in the hill station town. However, Veronica decides to side with her friends and find a way to stop her father.

The Archies have already released two songs — Va Va Vroom and Sunoh. Both the songs have been penned by Javed Akhtar. While Sunoh has been composed by Ankur Tiwari, Va Va Vroom is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
