When Vanitha Vijayakumar Opened Up About Property Feud With Her Father

Vanitha Vijayakumar is the eldest daughter of Tamil actor Vijayakumar and his second wife actress Manjula. Vanitha has also starred in a bunch of Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. She debuted alongside Thalapathy Vijay in Chandralekha in 1995. It was directed by Nambirajan. The film was not commercially successful. After a couple of unsuccessful Tamil films, the actress moved to the Malayalam and Telugu film industries with the films Hitler Brothers and Devi respectively.

In her career, the actress garnered headlines for her marriage and disputes with her father Vijayakumar. In an interview, the actress revealed that her father didn’t give priority to her mother as she was his second wife.

The actress said that her mother and the second wife of Vijayakumar had a habit of drinking alcohol. Due to this, she got jaundice. But she didn’t stop drinking. Actress Manjula was admitted to ICU and the doctor said that she is in a critical condition and has only 72 hours left to live.

In the last moments of her life, Vanitha claimed that her mother told her some family secrets. Actress Manjula was allegedly scared that her family would leave her daughter alone after her death. Vanitha added that her mother called lawyer Ram Jethmalani to include her name in the property papers. She also asked to take her statement in a video. Actor Vijayakumar reportedly refused to indulge in such matters and swore to actress Manjula that he would take care of their daughter. Actress Manjula died at the age of 59 years in 2013.

But everything turned upside down for Vanitha Vijayakumar after her mother’s death. As per reports, Vanitha was barred from the final rites of her mother. She also claimed to be excluded from the property of her mother after her death. Vanitha has already said in many interviews that her father has prevented her from entering the family property. The actress had a public fallout with her family after she refused to leave a family property that she had initially rented for a shoot in Ashtalakshmi Nagar. Her father, Vijayakumar filed a police complaint against her.

Vanitha Vijayakumar has been married and divorced three times in her life.
