Telugu Producers Donate To Andhra Pradesh And Telangana Flood Victims
A press meet was organised at the Film Chamber, where important industry figures unveiled an action plan to provide relief.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been witnessing major floods, disrupting life due to unprecedented rainfall in the past few days. Amidst this disaster, many renowned celebrities from the Telugu cinema have stepped in to provide help to the victims. A press meet was organised at the Film Chamber, where important industry figures unveiled an action plan to provide relief. Damodar Prasad, Honorary Secretary of the Film Chamber, announced significant donations on behalf of the Telugu film industry. “Many people are suffering due to floods in Vijayawada and Khammam. The Telugu film industry has always stepped up during such times. We are contributing Rs 25 lakh each to the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Rs 10 lakh from producers, and Rs 5 lakh from the federation,” he said. He also provided the account details for the people who wish to donate to the relief efforts.

Another prominent producer, Daggubati Suresh Babu also pledged support from his family, announcing a Rs 1 crore donation. He said that our industry always stands by the people in times of crisis. As per the Eega producer, they are not only contributing the money but also providing the essential supplies as well.

Director K Raghavendra Rao also highlighted the importance of giving back, saying that they have reached this level because of the people’s support. As per the director, it’s time to stand with them. Producer Dil Raju supported these sentiments, urging the entire industry to come forward and donate. According to Dil Raju, they are contributing lakhs from their production company, and request everyone in the industry to join in. Additionally, Anil, President of the Film Industry Employees Federation, talked about plans to hold a meeting with unions to further coordinate relief efforts. Prominent industry figures including Suresh Babu and Thammareddy Bharadwaj participated in the press meet, ensuring long-term support for flood-affected areas.

Apart from the producers, actors like Chiranjeevi Konidela, Allu Arjun, Nandamuri Balakrishna and others also donated generously. Others who have donated to the flood victims are Nandamuri Balakrishna, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Sonu Sood and others.

Till now, severe flooding, landslides and damage to properties were seen in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
