Shekhar Suman Says He Wants To Reconcile With Kangana Ranaut For Good: 'I Am Ready To Let Go'
Shekhar Suman expressed that he is ready to let go and mend things with Kangana Ranaut.

Earlier this month, actor Shekhar Suman joined the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), sparking widespread interest due to Kangana Ranaut’s affiliation with the same party. For those unaware, Shekhar’s son, Adhyayan Suman, had a highly publicized and bitter breakup with Kangana. Since then, the families have kept their distance from one another. However, as Shekhar embarks on his political journey, he expresses a willingness to reconcile with Kangana, who recently became a BJP Lok Sabha member from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.

Shekhar emphasizes the importance of moving past old grievances for the greater good of the country. “I am ready to let go of the bitterness for the greater good,” the actor continued, “Ideologically, we can work in tandem. We don’t have to work together, but yes, there is no ill will, no rancour. Let’s be more human other than just holding on to the past. Things happen in the heat of the moment and then people go about doing their jobs. We are hanging too much to the past. Let’s forget it,” he remarked.

Shekhar believes it’s time for everyone involved to let go of past grievances and unite for a greater cause, the betterment of the country. He stated, “If the need arises, then friends, enemies and people who once hated each other, do come back together for a common goal. It would be very petty on my part to hold on to any ranker now. Also, with age, there is more wisdom. What has happened has happened; it’s a part of life. Life always doesn’t move on with a smooth line. I can always circumvent this question by saying, ‘no comments’. But, we are all grown up, mature people and we can handle problems.”

Shekhar Suman, recently starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Currently streaming on Netflix, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar also stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal Mehta, Farida Jalal, Fardeen Khan and Adhyayan Suman in key roles.

News18 gave Showsha 4.5 stars and wrote, “Bhansali pens a near-perfect screenplay, and it is this rich writing that already forms an impressive foundation for the show. Each character is written with a lot of courage, empathy, and sensitivity. Here, each female character is so well-fleshed out, including those in the periphery, that they all deserve a spin-off of their own.”
