Abdu Rozik has revealed that Salman Khan congratulated him on getting engaged recently. Abdu, who was a part of Bigg Boss 16, revealed last week that he is planning to tie the knot with his ladylove, Amira in July this year.
Abdu Rozik was speaking to Hindustan Times recently when he revealed that Salman Khan dialled him up after the news of his engagement went viral. Abdu shared that ‘Bhai’ blessed him and is also likely to attend his wedding in Dubai in July 2024.
“My engagement was a surprise to everyone. I chose not to tell anyone before the engagement on April 24. I feel grateful my family and team helped me keep this private,” Abdu said and then added, “But as soon as Salman Bhai heard the news, he called to congratulate me. He gave me his blessings and it means a lot to me. I look forward to having my bada bhaijaan (elder brother) at my wedding. My friends from Bigg Boss too like Shiv Thakare, were surprised but happy for me.”
Earlier this month, Abdu Rozik surprised everyone when he took to his Instagram handle to announce that he will get married on July 7, 2024. The singer later revealed that ladylove’s name is Amira and that they met at an eatery in Dubai for the first time when they fell in love with each other. “She is pretty, has long hair and beautiful eyes. I introduced myself and we exchanged numbers. We have known each other for the last four months. She is studying business administration in Sharjah,” he told Bombay Times.
Recently, Abdu also penned down a long note and called out “nasty” comments who are trolling him for getting engaged. He argued that they were mocking his decision to get married just because he was small.
“Thank you to everyone who has congratulated me and wished us well but from happy news I also have to talk about something bad that’s happening. I want to say the negative comments and those who are making fun of me and being nasty is very sad. Imagine Amira and her family are reading these comments,” Abdu wrote.
The Tajikistani singer went on to say that his wedding announcement has become no less than a “nightmare”. “We went public after a lot of discussion and reluctance and unfortunately it is going from best news to a nightmare. People get married who are deaf blind no arms no legs but because I’m small you make fun of me. My health is good allhamdulillah and I deserve to be happy also,” Abdu continued.
Abdu further urged everyone to be kind said, “we need to learn to love and be kind first then educate others.”
