Earlier this year, Ranbir also purchased a Bentley which approximately costed Rs 6 crore. He even purchased a luxurious Range Rover worth Rs 4 crore last year.
Earlier this year, Ranbir and Alia were captured inspecting the construction of their new home. Reportedly, it is the lavish Krishna Raj Bungalow in Pali Hill which is undergoing renovation, as they along with Neetu, will be moving in soon.
The bungalow, which has been under renovation and construction for more than three years now, is almost ready. According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the couple will most probably celebrate this year’s Diwali in their new home. For a long time, they have been waiting for it to be completed and were constantly keeping check on the construction activity.
Hindustan Times has quoted an insider who mentioned that Alia, Ranbir, along with Raha will be moving into their new bungalow in two-three months. “The ongoing work on their bungalow is almost done, with the finishing going on, which should take one month or so. After the work is done and they get a green signal, the couple will move into the place. It is the moment they have been looking forward to,” says a source. The insider adds, “In fact, they will most probably be celebrating Diwali with Raha in the new house this year.”
“The bungalow holds an emotional significance to the family, which is why everyone is so involved in the construction. Ranbir and Alia have made sure they take out time from their busy schedule and check the work status,” says the insider.
Back in 1980, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor bought a bungalow on Pali Hill and named it Krishna Raj, named after Rishi’s parents- Raj and Krishna Kapoor. A few years ago, they chose to demolish the bungalow and install a high-rise building. “Neetu’s family is looking forward to coming and settling down in KrishnaRaj,” TOI had earlier reported, before adding, “Neetu and Alia have increased their inspection rounds since the interiors began. It’s going to be a fantastic place to stay after it is ready.”
The brand new Krishna Raj bungalow is now an 8-story high-rise. It was earlier revealed that one of the floors will be Neetu Kapoor’s personal residence, and another floor is for Ranbir, Alia, and their baby. Whenever Raha is ready to have her own space, she will be getting one floor to herself. A fourth storey is for Ranbir’s sister Riddhima and her daughter whenever they are in town.
