Kartik Aaryan Was 'Skeptical' About Chandu Champion For A Month: 'Khaana Nahi Kha Raha Hoon, Ek Picture...'
Kartik Aaryan added that he was shocked to hear Chandu Champion's story.

Kartik Aaryan along with the makers of Chandu Champion unveiled the much-anticipated trailer of his upcoming film ‘Chandu Champion’ in his hometown Gwalior. During the event, Kartik recalled that he was amazed to hear the film’s story, but was also sceptical if he would be able to pull it off.

He said, “Jab mujhe pehli baar yeh film ke baare main bataya gaya jab sir ne mujhe narration diya, tab maine inse pehle yahi sawal poocha tha ki kya sach main aisa hua hai ya yeh fictional hai? Iss story main itne twists and turns hain and itne historic moments hain jo kisi ki life main hona next to impossible hai. Toh main shock main tha jab maine pehli baar yeh narration liya tha sir se.”

“Ek mahine main thoda skeptical bhi tha. Maine haan toh bol diya tha Kabir sir aur Sajid sir ke pyaar main lekin mujhe darr bhi laga bohot ki kya main yeh kar bhi paunga? Roz gym ja raha hoon, khana nahi kha raha hoon, doosri picture nahi kar raha hoon. Sirf ek hi picture hai. Main robot ban gaya tha, machine ban gaya tha. I was just following their guidance and here we are,” Kartik added.

The movie is inspired by the real-life story of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar, born on November 1, 1944, in the Peth Islampur region of Sangli, Maharashtra. Petkar, an exceptional athlete, excelled in multiple sports, especially wrestling and hockey.

The ‘Chandu Champion’ trailer is packed with emotional moments, intense action, a glimpse of an epic war sequence, and the extraordinary journey of a man who refused to give up. It offers the audience a sneak peek into the grand world of ‘Chandu Champion’ and showcases Kartik Aaryan’s remarkable transformation into a soldier, boxer, and wrestler, highlighting his unwavering dedication.

Chandu Champion is the first time Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan are working together, and their second film with Sajid Nadiadwala after the hit Satyaprem Ki Katha. The movie showcases beautiful locations in the United Kingdom. Filming took place at the London Aquatics Centre, known for the 2012 Olympic swimming events, Kew Gardens, featured in the historical drama Queen Charlotte, and Syon Park, a historic aristocratic estate in London.
