First Look: Dhruv Vikram’s Bison: Kaalamaadan Promises A Horror Twist

Actor Dhruv Vikram, who has worked in films like Adithya Varma and Mahaan, is currently looking forward to his film Bison: Kaalamaadan. Mari Selvaraj has written and directed this film. He also unveiled Bison’s poster on Twitter on Dhruv’s birthday with the caption, “Wishing our dearest #DhruvVikram the Happiest Birthday!! This year get ready to witness our #Bison’s journey! Sending you all my love and best wishes!”. The poster depicts Dhruv holding the Bison animal’s wooden sculpture. The poster gives an eerie vibe hinting at the genre of the film Bison, ie-horror. The film stars an ensemble star cast of actors Anupama Parameswaran, Lal, Pasupathy and others in the lead roles. Applause Entertainment Ltd and Neelam Productions have backed this film. Bison is currently in the production.

The director Mari has talked about the Bison’s plot in an interview with the Times of India. According to him, “The film will revolve around kabaddi. But, contrary to reports, it’s not a biopic, but a fictional one.” The shooting of Bison has been wrapped up in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu and the remaining portions were filmed in Chennai. Mari also said that the title and the tagline Kaalamaadan have significance, which the audience will understand once they watch the film.

The first-look poster of Bison Kaalamaadan shows Dhruv taking a stance in front of a massive statue of bison. In the poster, Dhruv thanked the viewers who have waited for him with continuous support and patience. The 27-year-old actor added he is extremely thrilled to finally begin shooting his third and most important film with the ‘visionary’ Mari Selvaraj.

Dhruv’s fans and other social media users wished him the best for Bison and wrote that they are eagerly looking forward to this film’s release.

Dhruv last acted in the Tamil film Mahaan which marked his and his father Vikram’s first collaboration. The film started streaming on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on February 10 in four languages Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Mahaan, an action thriller also became the 60th film of Vikram’s 30-year career in the Tamil film industry. While Vikram played the Gandhi Mahaan’s role, Dhruv enacted Dadabhai Naoroji’s character.
