Malayalam actor Vinayakan has been arrested at the Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad. The actor, who played the villain in Rajinikanth’s Jailer, boarded an Indigo flight from Kochi to Hyderabad to Goa. He was allegedly drunk and behaved rudely towards the passengers. The passengers complained to CISF officials and he was taken into custody.
The actor was handed over to the airport police. The police have registered a case against Vinayaka and are investigating. In videos circulating online, he was seen seated on the floor shirtless and yelling at the staff members. This led to him being detained at the airport.
India Today quoted Balraj, CI of the Airport Police Station, saying, “A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.”

This is not the first time that Vinayakan has made headlines for the wrong reasons. In October 2023, the Malayalam actor was arrested for creating a ruckus at a local police station in Ernakulam, Kerala. It was reported at the time that he had caused an inconvenience to the residents of his apartment and complaints were filed against him. This led to his arrest at the time.
He was also in the news for his insensitive comments about the death of former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. He also made the headlines for making shocking remarks about the MeToo movement back in 2022.
Vinayakan has starred in several Tamil and Malayalam films. He will soon be seen in Dhruva Natchathiram in Tamil and, Thekku Vadakku and Karinthandan in the Malayalam film industry.
