Lakshmi Manchu is all set to return to the silver screens after a hiatus of two years with her upcoming film Adiparvam. Sanjeev Megoti has directed this film and unveiled its poster on social media on Lakshmi’s 47th birthday (October 8). The poster shows the actress draped in different sarees and showing intense expressions.
This poster also shows a temple in her backdrop and Lakshmi covering her face with red and yellow colours. This poster shows that Lakshmi will be back on the screens with probably a strong character. However, it is not known whether she will enact an antagonist or a protagonist in the film. While sharing the poster, Sanjeev wrote in the caption, “Many more happy returns of the day and happy birthday to you, and God bless you, Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna Garu.”
A series of posters from the film Adiparvam were released by the makers in 2023 as well. The posters saw Lakshmi Manchu in an action role, excluding powerful looks in the film. As per the Deccan Herald, she will be playing a fiery role in this action flick which reportedly revolves around a treasure hunt. “The mystery thriller revolves around the revered Red Temple in Rayalaseema region and the legend surrounding it,” as quoted by Deccan Herald. In the posters, the temple can also be seen while Lakshmi Manchu stands before it in a green saree and angry eyes.
Adiparvam will mark the debut of Lakshmi Manchu in the Kannada entertainment industry. While talking about the stunt scenes in the film, Sanjeev Megoti said in an interview that Lakshmi Manchu has performed some daredevil stunts without even rehearsing much. The director added that she even managed to deliver four to five big action scenes. He added that she had to remain in the air for some time for her kick-ass action blocks and she proved that she was the best in the business.
Apart from Lakshmi, Aditya Om and Harry Josh will also essay important roles in Adiparvam. According to reports, after clearing the censorship formalities, Adiparvam will be released on the big screens on October 31.
