As a playback singer, Kamal Haasan has sung numerous superhit songs. His first song was Gnaayiru Oli Mazhaiyil from the 1975 film Antharangam. The film starred Savitri, Major Sundarrajan, Thengai Srinivasan, Aachi Manorama and Sukumari. The actor also sang a song for the film Siva Thaandavam.
