Ramzan or Ramadan is the Islamic calendar’s ninth month. Muslims believe that the Prophet Muhammad received revelations including the first verses of the Quran, the sacred book of Islam, during this month. Muslims celebrate this holy month by fasting from dawn till dusk. Fasting is one of Islam’s Five Pillars, which govern how Muslims should spend their lives.
The two Ramzan meals known as Sehri and Iftar are important for every Muslim. Sehri is an early morning meal eaten before daybreak. Then, they are forbidden from eating or drinking water throughout the day until after sunset when they are to break the fast with an evening meal known as iftar.
There are set times for eating both meals. The timings for Iftar and Sehri are crucial to know if you’re observing this blessed month.
