In a shocking turn of events, South Korean rapper Zico came under the spotlight after Goo Hara’s death case has become the talk of the town yet again. Over the weekend, SBS aired an episode of Unanswered Questions focusing Goo Hara’s death. The episode also touched upon the robbery that took place at her home after her death. It was suspected of stealing a safe which had Goo Hara’s old phones. The description of the robber was also shared in the episode.
According to Koreaboo, Goo Hara’s brother appeared on the episode and spoke about the stolen safe. He revealed he took out all the valuables from the safe before the robbery happened. The episode also mentioned details about the features of the robber. It was revealed the robber was 5’8 tall and likely to be in his 20s or early 30s. A sketch was also drawn and displayed on the screen. Following the description, several social media users in South Korea claimed the man looks like Zico. The speculations were all over the internet.
Soon, Zico’s agency KOZ Entertainment reacted to the speculations. “We have uncovered malicious and defamatory comments on social media about our artist, Zico. We have come to the decision to take legal action due to the severity of these defamatory comments and the level of misinformation being shared,” statement read.
“In addition, we would like to clearly state that the recent rumors about our artist is false and defamatory, and also that we will be taking legal action,” the agency added.
Goo Hara died on November 24, 2019. The South Korean singer was found dead in her home. Her death shocked the K-pop world. Her death was ruled out as a possible suicide. The idol had attempted suicide a few months before her death but had recovered at the time.
