BTS: Fan Tries To Kiss Jin During Free Hug Event, His Reaction Goes Viral | Watch Video

BTS singer Jin tackled an awkward moment like a pro at his free hugs event. On Thursday, Kim Seok-jin hosted a fan event in which he gave out 1000 free hugs. Several videos showed lucky fans meeting and hugging Jin. However, there was one video that has caught everyone’s attention in which a fan appeared to tried to kiss Jin.

In the video shared on X, Jin was seen welcoming an ARMY member with a big smile. The fan hugged Jin, whispered something in his ear and almost kissed his cheek. However, Jin tactfully moved away. Although the moment was awkward, he did not let it affect his mood. The singer continued to smile and hug other fans. Watch the video below:

This was the first event Jin hosted after completing his military training. The singer, addressing the fans in the room, confessed that he wishes to do another event like this some day before he dies. “Maybe right now I can only hug 1000 people, but in the future before I die, I want to do it again,” he said.

On Wednesday, following his discharge ceremony, Jin hosted a Weverse Live and spoke to fans. During his live, Jin revealed it was his idea to host a “free hug event”. He explained that he would be offering hugs to 1,000 lucky fans.

“I need to talk about FESTA. I gave a good idea, but it received a lot of criticism. I took a look at it so let me try to explain. I took a draft with me from the start. Since I am in charge of the FESTA by myself this time, I contacted the organizer around October, November last year. But they were honest and said they already planned everything so there wasn’t much left to do. They asked me if I had any ideas. I said I wanted to do a free hug event, but they said no,” he explained as reported by Koreaboo.

Jin added the organisers were initially worried about the safety concerns related to such an event. However, they have now agreed to a free hug event that would be limited to 1,000 fans only.

The singer is the first BTS member to have completed his military enlistment. Soon, J-Hope will also complete his enlistment. RM, Jimin, V, Suga and Jungkook will be discharged next year.
