Woman kills two minor daughters, commits suicide

After a family dispute, a 27-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by setting herself ablaze along with her two minor daughters in Kisunpali of Uttar Pradesh's Deoria district, about 335 kms from Lucknow.

Gudia bolted her room in Rampur Karkhana area and after sprinkling kerosene oil on her daughter Ranjana (nine months) and Sanjana (2 years), she set the house on fire, IG (Law and Order) R K Vishwakarma told reporters here.

Prima facie, it appears that Gudia took the extreme step due to a family dispute, the police official said.
